OH my; rough couple weeks it’s been. I’m not complaining because I’m doing what I love but it’s stressful!
Just to catch everyone up…I’m loving school!! It’s been amazing and educational. I never really understood what Cosmetologists went through to make sure they do everything correct to make sure that we as clients don’t come down with some nasty SHIT. (Sorry there is no better way to say that.) If you ever want to know what kind of crap you could potentially get come talk to me I’ll show you my books. Guarantee you’d never set foot in a salon again. HA HA just kidding. They literally beat sanitation and disinfection into our heads DAILY!! There isn’t a day that goes by that we aren’t taught/re-taught cleanliness practices. Let’s face it there are some nasty people out there and we have to know how to protect not only ourselves but our clients as well. (Something to use in daily life as well.)
The last few weeks I’ve gone insane with Manicures and Pedicures. For good reason; we’ve done them so much I’m dreaming about them. Great practice though. Tuesday of this week the school was short handed and asked some of us who just started to pitch in. I wanted the experience so I volunteered. It was pretty intense and nerve wracking because these people are paying for a quality service and I didn’t want to screw it up. Made me laugh though, the client picked red polish. OF COURSE!! It’s the hardest polish to master because it shows all the flaws. Thank goodness for Acetone and crafty clean-up methods. OUI!!
We’ve taken 4 tests so far. I have passed all of them quite nicely. I’m going to have to study hard for my state boards. Thankfully, because of the school I’m going to and the state requirements I won’t have to go back to school in the even I leave the state. I was quite shocked I did so well on the Chemistry test. I didn’t do so well in High School when I took Chemistry but this time around I did. I was so glad. I didn’t want to have to take it again.
I am pretty I’m making Tyler crazy. I’ve been so tired lately trying to adjust to my new schedule and demands that I’m taking my frustrations out on him. Now, in part of my defense sometimes he does tick me off but the other 98% of the time he doesn’t deserve the hell I put him through. Bless his heart though he is so patient with me. OK so most of the time. We kind of lost it last night. I was so upset I think actually cried myself to sleep. No BUENO. I hate it when we fight. I know that it has to do mainly with the fact that we never see each other anymore. When we’re together it’s so perfect. UGHH if we could only live together. :o) I love you honey…just know that. No matter what crazies I pull out of my hat – I love you more today than yesterday!!
